| Sri Lanka Under 19 Team |
In keeping with its policy of promoting junior cricket, SLC has a planned programme for the Under-19 cricketers. A pool of 25 has been selected to train for the Under-19 World Cup 2008 to be held in Malaysia
.
The team participated in two tri-nation ODI tournaments in 2007. The first was in Malaysia in February. England and Malaysia were the other two teams. Sri Lanka won the series. The second was in India in July. India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka were the participating teams. Sri Lanka failed to reach the finals. In a two-'Test' series India (July), Sri Lanka lost one and drew the other.
