Profile
Peter is another of the Netherlands side to have originated from New Zealand where he played for Canterbury 'A' and the national Under-19s. Although he was taken apart on his ODI debut against Sri Lanka, taking 1 for 94 from his 10 overs, his performances in the World Cricket League in Kenya where he averaged 21.25 in his three games proved enough to earn him a place at the 2007 World Cup in the Caribbean. He has shown some ability as a lower order batsman with a highest score of 49 in the 2006 ICC Intercontinental Cup. A natural talent, he had never been seriously coached until joining up with the Dutch squad, He is nicknamed Baldrick after the character in Blackadder, and has plenty to say to opposing batsmen while fielding. Alan Curr, February 2007
