 Profile

Paceman Josephat Ababu announced his arrival onto the international scene with his first ball, when he claimed the wicket of Zimbabwe's Niel Johnson in Nairobi in 1999. But he found success at senior level hard to come by and was dropped in 2001. Ababu, who has an easy, athletic action and fluid delivery, was recalled to the Kenya squad for the Champions Trophy after a three-year absence, after impressing the selectors with his penetrating bowling against Pakistan A in 2004.
Jenny Thompson September 2004
